I think we can all agree that cannoli’s are one of the best desserts out there. There’s really nothing like the flavor of that creamy & rich cannoli filling, studded with chocolate chips. When I made my Double Chocolate Ricotta Mousse last week, it reminded me that cannoli cream is the OG of using ricotta cheese in dessert form. Now, I’m all about that high protein life and I LOVE sneaking protein into any and everything I can. So I decided, why not cannoli dip?! Thus — with just a few simple ingredients — my HIGH PROTEIN Cannoli Dip was born! And one thing’s for certain: You won’t be able to get enough of it.

Ingredients and Substitutions for High Protein Cannoli Dip
What ricotta cheese should I use?
In this case, I recommend using full fat ricotta cheese because it gives the best texture and flavor. However, you could use a lower fat option if you’d like.
What Greek yogurt should I use?
Here as well, I recommend using a 5% or 2% fat Greek yogurt for the best texture and flavor, but you could use a lower fat option if you’d like.
What chocolate chips should I use?
Mini chocolate chips work best in this recipe, I love the ones from Enjoy Life. If you want a lower sugar option, some of my favorites are Hu chocolate chips, Lily’s, and Bake Believe.

Any chance I could use a tbsp of so of honey or pure maple syrup instead of the powdered sugar? Sadly my health won’t allow for any amount of white sugars🥲
Love everything you do & would love to make this for a quick weekend treat! Also wondering if I could use cottage cheese to up the protein…?

Yes you can try any variations you like! I have not tried this any other way yet, so unfortunately I cannot tell you how it will taste. I am certain cottage cheese will change the taste, ricotta is what really lends to the cannoli flavor.

I’ve been looking over a lot of your Instagram posts for recipes, and I am shocked at how unhealthy the majority of them truly are! You use a lot of processed foods and far too much sugar, including the amount of sugar in this recipe. I’ll be praying for you. I’m really skeptical of born again Christians who wind up getting pregnant from random dating site hook- ups and are obsessed with vanity. It’s absolutely disgusting that you use Botox and bleach your hair. Bleaching your hair went out in the early 80s and you look like you’re about 90 from messing with your appearance so much. Very, very sad. You need help. Prayers for you.

Hey Katie, thanks for the comment! I’ll be praying for you too. I’m certainly not perfect, but I at least have enough goodness in my heart and conscience to not personally attack a stranger on the internet for no reason at all. I hope leaving that comment gave you whatever high your flesh was seeking to relieve the pain and bitterness in your heart.

Too much Sugar? This is for Cannolis.
The rest of your rant was unhinged in all the worst ways, you should take a step back and realize attacking someone us unacceptable. This was completely ridiculous that you posted this, if you had any sense you would delete it.
If you think you are so right show it to your pastor or whatever you follow and see if they agree that your attack was valid in any way.
I bet they wont if they have any sense.
Very very sad indeed. You need help.

Hi Katie
It seems like you are upset that you will never be as beautiful, talented or accomplished as our wonderful author here.
Maybe if you spent less time chugging wine, and being a spiteful cunt on a recipe blog, you could find the time to exercise and enjoy food like this without looking like a garbage truck that got caught in a forrest fire.
Find a hobby, I suggest try playing in traffic.

I’m really skeptical about sour bitches who have nothing better to do than attack a stranger on the internet. Did it make you feel better about your sad, pathetic life?
Cheryl says
Hi,
I didn’t see where you list the protein, fat, etc. How high is the protein per serving?

Sounds great! I don’t often use ricotta cheese in recipes but know it often needs to be strained. Does this recipe require that?
