What do you get when you combine your favorite homemade cookie recipe with your favorite famous, store bought cookie? Classic chocolate chip cookies meet OREO cookies with these wildly delicious Cookies & Cream Cookies.
These are quite possibly the perfect cookies. They’re soft and chewy, filled with chocolate (and white chocolate!) whips, and a satisfying chocolate-y crunch from the OREOs.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup crushed OREO cookies
- 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper
- Using a stand mixer or a hand mixer cream butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract
- In a separate bowl sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt
- Beat flour mixture into wet mixture, 1/2 cup at a time
- Carefully stir in chocolate chips and crushed OREO cookies
- Form into 22-24 balls and place on baking sheet at least 2 inches apart
- Bake for 8-10 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack to let cool before serving
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or longer in the fridge. These also cookies freeze well

Can I make these cookies gluten-free?
Yes! Simply use your favorite 1:1 gluten-free flour. and gluten-free OREO cookies.
My favorite gluten-free flours are Bob’s Red Mill 1:1 Gluten-Free Baking Flour, King Arthur Measure For Measure Gluten-free Flour and Pillsbury Gluten-Free Flour Blend.
Here are the gluten-free OREO cookies. There are also other imitation brands of OREO cookies that would work just fine.
To really take them up a notch you could…
- make ice cream cookie sandwiches
- swap or add in peanut butter chips
- add crushed pretzels too for a sweet & salty combo
