Cinnamon Brown Sugar Apple Crisp

The BEST classic Apple Crisp recipe. Warm cinnamon flavor, double the topping!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium (or 3 large) apples, peeled and thinly sliced or diced
  • 3 teaspoons granular sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup regular or quick oats
  • 1/2 tablespoon + 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • vanilla ice cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place apples in a greased 8×8 baking dish, and sprinkle with granular sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla. Then add in the flour, remaining cinnamon, salt and oats. Combine well
  3. Spread topping on the apples and bake for 28-30 minutes
