Apple Butter Bread ingredients:

  • 1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmug
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 cup apple butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • optional mix-ins: diced apple, chopped walnuts or pecans

Glaze ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together eggs, maple syrup, coconut oil, apple butter, vanilla and milk
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and combine well. Fold in any nuts or apple pieces, if using
  5. Pour batter into greased loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, when a toothpick comes out clean
  6. Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to cooling rack for another 10+ minutes before adding glaze
  7. To make the glaze, whisk powdered sugar and milk until a smooth consistency, adding more milk if needed
  8. Pour glaze over loaf, slice and enjoy!
