Yesterday my brain didn’t seem to remember that memo until after some of my meals had been prepped, so the result is a very REAL look at what this Hungry Blonde ate yesterday.
First up was a glass of Super Elixir, which I’ve been having first thing just about every day. If the looks of it doesn’t tell you, this stuff tastes NASTY. Like, hold-your-nose-but-still-immediately-regret-putting-it-in-your-mouth gross.
But. BUUUUUUUUUUT. Let me tell you – this stuff has already worked wonders for me. Specifically, my skin and energy have been seeing their best days yet. So with that being said, the hype is legit and I actually couldn’t recommend Super Elixir more.
A few hours later I made myself a quick breakfast of oats made simply with almond milk, a big dash of cinnamon, a handful of frozen berries, and a dollup of peanut butter (Justins, to be exact). For something that looks like barf it actually tasted like a blueberry muffin in a bowl. I was diggin’ it.
Thank God I had a working lunch today so we can all recover with some more visually appealing eats. Monica and I met up at Dominique Bistro in the West Village. We split a few dishes: the Nicoise Salad, Bistro Burger, and the soup of the day – a delicious creamy tomato soup.
Everything was incredible! I mean, just look at that burger porn…
For dinner I thought it would be a good idea to get some greens in, and conveniently I had a gift card to Just Salad, so I made my way over there and built my own veggie packed creation.
I know. It’s a pretty sad follow up to that burger situation.
And then there was dessert. I NEVER skip dessert. Especially when I have Halo Top hand, which these days is…if I’m breathing.
I’ve finally tried all of the new flavors and they’re awesome. Red Velvet, Cookies & Cream, and S’mores would be my top picks!
And now here I am the next morning with coffee in hand, about to hit publish, and ready to start all over again 🙂 See you for the next WIEIAD!
xoxo GG
