If you need an easy, crowd-pleasing vegetarian recipe that is packed with flavor – look no further. This Vegetarian Cheesy White Bean Buffalo Dip is the perfect appetizer for any gathering, or just a delicious additional to any meal.
This is one of those recipes that you really just can’t mess up. Truly, it’s so easy with less than 10 ingredients, and a little over 30 minutes to make from start to finish. It’s a great go-to recipe for any parties or gatherings that vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike will love!
Plus with the addition of cottage cheese (trust me on this one), it also happens to be packed with protein. Now, here’s how to make it.

If you’re one of those people who is anti-cottage cheese, I’m about to make a convert out of you. Cottage cheese is what makes this dip super creamy and hearty, plus it adds a punch of protein!
Some notes on this recipe:
- In this case, cannellini beans or great northern beans work best. Chickpeas would probably work as well, but I have not tried this recipe with them yet
- My favorite hot sauce is Frank’s Red Hot, but any hot sauce or buffalo sauce would work
- I like using ranch dressing best, but if you’re a fan of bleu cheese dressing, that is an alternative that would lend to a bit of a stronger flavor in this dip
