What kind of cashew butter should I use?
Any creamy cashew butter would work great in this recipe. But I usually opt for an organic cashew butter made with minimal ingredients.
What kind of dairy-free butter should I use?
In this case, aim for a stick butter alternative rather than a spread. If you are looking for a good one, I recommend either Earth Balance and Miyokos. Plus, you can also use regular butter if you are not dairy-free.
Can I use a different kind of nut butter?
Of course – any other creamy nut butter would be delicious!
Can I make this frosting sugar-free?
A sugar-free alternative would be to use powdered monk fruit sweetener instead of powdered sugar. Please note I have not tried that in this recipe. Lakanto makes a powdered monk fruit sweetener (find it on Amazon here), and you can also add regular monk fruit sweetener to a blender or food processor and pulse until it becomes a powdered consistency.
