There are few things I love more in life than a Sunday brunch with my girl friends. Even better is when I get to try a new restaurant that lives up to exceeds expectations. My first brunch at Black Barn this past weekend was just that.
Black Barn is one of those places I had seen all over Instagram prior to going, so I already had an idea of what I wanted to order. Thankfully my friends are the sharing type, so I was able to try a handful of different amazing dishes.
Apple + Almond Filled French Toast with Vermont maple butter
Merguez Sausage + Chickpea Cakes with eggplant caponata / poached egg
Fried Chicken + Parmesan-Rosemary Waffle with Vermont maple butter sauce
Carrots Escabeche with burrata and quinoa
Parmesan French fries
As for the restaurant itself – I absolutely loved the rustic (literally barn-like), casual vibes. It’s definitely a great place to go with a big group as the tables and restaurant as a whole is quite large.
I can’t wait to go back to Black Barn soon! A dinner there will definitely have to go on the agenda…
Black Barn: 19 East 26th Street, New York NY
