There are many things to love about summer… but without a doubt, one of the best parts of the season is all the fresh produce. Especially those juicy, sweet peaches! In this recipe, I pair them with a buttery, brown sugar and oat topping that creates the best crisp topping. Now, when you use fresh fruit the taste is truly unmatched. However, frozen peaches will work in this recipe, too. It’s incredibly versatile and nearly impossible to mess up.
Crisps are a great way to highlight seasonal fruit. In the fall I love to make my Cinnamon Brown Sugar Apple Crisp and in the early summer I whip up my Gluten-Free Berry Crisp. Plus with these recipes you only need one bowl and one hour to get an amazing result. And there are options to make the dessert gluten- and dairy-free!

Ingredients and Substitutions for No-Fail Peach Crisp
Can I use other fruit or berries in this recipe?
Absolutely. You could use apples, cherries, rhubarb, pears, plums — the world is your fruit oyster!
Can this be made gluten-free?
Yes! If you want to make this recipe gluten-free, then you’ll need to substitute the flour for your favorite gluten-free flour and substitute the oats for your favorite gluten-free option. You could also use or even use Bob’s Red Mill almond flour, oat flour, or whole wheat flour.
Can this be made dairy-free?
Yes, just use a dairy-free/plant-based butter. My favorites are Country Crock and Earth Balance. If serving with ice cream or whipped topping, then use your favorite dairy-free versions.
How should I store this peach crisp?
Store at room temperature for about 3 days, or in the refrigerator for longer.
How should I serve this berry crisp?
This is amazing served warm (with a scoop of ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream, of course!). If you’re bringing this to a gathering and can’t serve it out of the oven, don’t worry. You can also serve this room temperature or reheat it in the oven or microwave.

Sounds so easy and delicious. Every time we pick peaches, they seem to get mushy so quickly. This is the perfect balance of crispy topping to go with the peaches.
