Store these in an air-tight container for up to 5 days, or longer in the fridge/freezer. I personally prefer the texture of these when refrigerated, as almond flour can get soggy.

These Healthier Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookies are of course delicious straight out of the oven, but I found they get an even better texture after they’ve cooled. They are firm yet soft and the perfect amount of sweetness.
And when I say these are healthier, I mean it. These babies are grain-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and refined sugar-free!
What almond flour should I use?
A super fine almond flour from blanched almonds works best. Bob’s Red Mill is a favorite of mine.
Can I use another type of flour?
I have not tried this recipe with another flour. All-purpose or oat flour may work. I would strongly advise against using coconut flour, as it has a very different absorbency and would require all different measurements/ingredients.
Can I use another sweetener?
The same amount of regular granulated sugar, coconut sugar or monk fruit sweetener will work in place of maple syrup. My favorites are Whole Earth and Monk Fruit In The Raw.
Where can I find low sugar chocolate chips?
There are many options in grocery stores and on Amazon now. Some of my favorites are Bake Believe and Lily’s.
How do I store these cookies?
Store in an air-tight container for up to 5 days, or longer in the fridge/freezer. I personally prefer the texture of these when refrigerated!
