Montauk has been one of my favorite summer getaways for 5 years now. The town has certainly changed A LOT over the years (not all for the better, unfortunately), but there’s still a special place in my heart for my first New York go-to vacation spot.
Here’s a round up of my favorite places to stay, eat & more at The End.
Where to stay
The Montauk Beach House – my favorite place to stay, right in the heart of town! Read my full review here.
Gurney’s Resort & Spa – you could never leave the resort and have the time of your life.
Sole East
Montauk Blue Hotel – a more budget-friendly option, but right on the beach!
Where to eat
Navy Beach – probably my favorite restaurant in Montauk. Everything is delicious, but don’t go without getting their Salmon Tartare and Parm Fries.
Left Hand Coffee
Ruschmeyer’s – one word: Pork Belly.
South Edison
Joni’s – my favorite lunch spot in…maybe the world.
Surf Lodge
La Brisa – AKA Tacombi, AKA my aboslute favorite tacos.
Scarpetta Beach
Harvest on Fort Pond
Montauk Brewing Co.
Red Hook Lobster – because what’s the Hamptons without a lobster roll?
Grey Lady
Where to (day) play
Montauk State Park
Montauk Lighthouse – a classic “The End” must see.
Surfing lessons
Ditch Plains beach
The Beach Club at Gurney’s – one of the best day parties I’ve been to in a while. Do yourself a favor and grab a big group of friends and reserve a cabana.
The Montauk Beach House – MBH always has fun things going on during the day and a great outdoor bar.
Where to play (late)
Ruschmeyer’s – it gets pretty crowded, but Ruschmeyer’s is still a fun spot to stay late night. There’s an outdoor area (a very adult “camp” feel) as well as an indoor dance party if you’re looking to get down.
Surf Lodge – the most popular nightlife spot in Montauk. They’ve really buckled down with capacity rules, so your best bet is making a dinner reservation and sticking around after.
Sole East – a more chill nightlife scene.
Navy Beach – MUST WATCH THE SUN SET HERE. It will change your life (I’m serious).
Where to sweat
SoulCycle
Love Yoga
Surf Lodge – hosts various classes throughout the summer
Gurney’s – hosts various classes throughout the summer

I’m still visiting new places every time I’m in Montauk, so I’ll be sure to update this post regularly 🙂
