Easy Fall Recipes From Appetizer to Breakfast to Dinner
There’s so much to love about fall flavors. Contrary to popular belief, fall flavors are not just pumpkin. Now, that is not to say that I dislike pumpkin — in, fact I love it (I’ve got a whole roundup on my favorite pumpkin recipes!). However, I want to give some love to fall recipes that *don’t* feature pumpkin. These easy fall recipes highlight some of the other flavors of the season, and include recipes for breakfasts, appetizers, dinners and more!
1: Apple Cinnamon Ricotta Toast
Here at Hungry Blonde we like to make our toasts seasonally appropriate. This Apple Cinnamon Ricotta Toast feels like a taste of fall. No doubt, it’s the combination of the warm spices, soft and warm apples, and the salty, whipped ricotta. A toast lover’s dream.
2: Roasted Butternut Squash, Prosciutto and Goat Cheese Crisps
Being on appetizer duty isn’t all bad! It’s a great opportunity to wow your guests or friends with something unique they can snack on. This recipe for Roasted Butternut Squash, Prosciutto and Goat Cheese Crisps will wow everyone — and it’s an especially great complement to Thanksgiving.
3: Sausage Sweet Potato Kale Soup
The moment the temperature drops, the scarves come out and soup goes on the menu. It’s the rules. My favorite? Sausage Sweet Potato Kale Soup. It’s hearty, warming, and suprisingly easy to make. Plus, it’s Paleo (Whole30) friendly.
4: Cranberry Walnut Sugar Cookies
Looking for a cookie that packs a nutrient punch? Try these Cranberry Walnut Sugar Cookies. They are loaded with antioxidants, thanks to the dried cranberries, and are made with better-for-you ingredients. However, you’ll never know. Plus, they’re grain-free.
5: Honey Cranberry Walnut Cream Cheese
A cream cheese focused appetizer… count me in! Honey Cranberry Walnut Cream Cheese is one of my all-time favorite holiday appetizers. It’s made with just 5 ingredients and is a total-crowd pleaser. Plus, it can make a great fall breakfast!
6: Oatmeal Cookie Bread
If you’ve been around, then you know I love a good cookie bread. And if I had to choose one that goes best with the fall season, it would be my Oatmeal Cookie Bread. It’s SO warm and hearty with the flavor of brown sugar, the texture of chewy oats, and of course the sweet, sugary glaze.
7: Slow Cooker White Bean Chicken Chili
In my mind, the fall season goes hand-in-hand with slow cooker season. My Slow Cooker White Bean Chicken Chili is comfort food… but with a healthier twist. It’s a hands-off recipe that yields a delicious outcome. Plus, it’s a great option for meal prep.
8: Cinnamon Brown Sugar Apple Crisp
What’s fall without an apple crisp? Nothing! I firmly believe that my recipe for Cinnamon Brown Sugar Apple Crisp is the BEST one you can make. It has a double topping with soft and sweet apples. It’s the ideal dessert to make for a crowd, making it perfect for Thanksgiving!
9: Vegan Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese
I love macaroni and cheese (and I have a few variations of it: like Everything Bagel Mac & Cheese and Healthier Gluten-Free Mac & Cheese), but when it comes to the best fall-forward mac & cheese recipe, this Vegan Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese is it. The butternut squash makes for an ultra creamy and thick “cheese” sauce that everyone will love. Plus, it’s entirely plant-based!
10: Slow Cooker Chili
Is there anything more fall than a big ‘ole bowl of chili? I think not. My recipe for Slow Cooker Chili couldn’t be easier. It makes enough for a crowd (football, anyone?) or for an easy meal prep. I love serving it with tortilla chips and avocado.
11: Spiced Sweet Potato Cashew Soup
In the colder months, I am especially cognizant of keeping my immunity up, and this Sweet Potato Cashew Soup helps me do just that. The recipe is full of immunity boosting ingredients that will leave you feeling great. It’s a hearty yet healthy meal that you and your family will love.
12: Slow Cooker Gnocchi Minestrone
Whether you’re a lover of the impending colder months or a total winter hater, this Slow Cooker Gnocchi Minestrone soup will help lessen the blow. It’s pretty much the definition of comfort food, yet it still packs in a ton of vegetables. By opting for a vegan gnocchi and skipping the cheese, this is a delicious vegan meal.
13: Apple Cinnamon N’Oatmeal
So… you’ve made oats one too many times, and now you don’t know what easy, versatile meal to make for breakfast. Enter: Apple Cinnamon N’Oatmeal. What is n’oatmeal, you ask? It’s a bunch of superfoods — chia, flax, coconut, hemp and almonds — that when blended together take on the consistency of oats. It’s simply delicious and crazy good for you.
14: Healthier Apple Cobbler Dump Cake
This Healthier Apple Cobbler Dump Cake is the perfect way to use up those delicious bushels you got from apple picking! It’s a simple recipe that uses fresh apples and is made with ingredients that you can feel good about. A total crowd-pleasers that’s also gluten-free!
15: Butter Pecan Cookies
Butter Pecan Cookies are a unique combination of sweet and salty. Truthfully, this is one my *all-time* favorite combinations. They are chewy, buttery and melt in your mouth! You’re not going to be able to have just one. Plus, they can be made gluten-free.
