There are many things I don’t know in life, but there’s one thing I know for sure: it is imperative to have a foolproof go-to brownie in your recipe repertoire. They’re easy to make, always a crowd-pleaser, and there’s just nothing like that first bite of a perfectly fudgy brownie. These Double Chocolate Sea Salt Brownies are exactly that, with an extra “omg yaaaas” from the sweet + salty combo.
Oh, and did I mention this is a ONE BOWL wonder? It’s true. I love you too.
Double Chocolate Sea Salt Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips (I prefer bittersweet but dark or milk chocolate would work)
- 1 tsp sea salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 8×8 baking dish or cake pan with parchment paper or grease with cooking spray/butter.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, then beat in the sugar, eggs and vanilla extract.
- Next add the flour, cocoa powder & baking powder and combine well, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread batter in baking dish and bake for 32-35 minutes (go for less time if you like your brownies extra gooey).
- When done baking, immediately top with sprinkle of sea salt. Let brownies cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting.
I used a round cake pan and sliced the brownies “pizza style,” but cut into squares if you want to make them a bit smaller. You know, so you have an excuse to eat 3 pieces instead of one 😉
As always, if you make these Double Chocolate Sea Salt Brownies or any of my other recipes, I’d love to see how they turn out! Be sure to tag me on Instagram @Hungry.blonde 🙂 xoxo GG
