Did I mention this recipe is just FIVE ingredients and under FIVE minute to make?
You can also make this appetizer and refrigerate ahead of time for even more convenience. Generally, it is best served at room temperature, though, so if making ahead be sure to remove from refrigerator at least 20 minutes before serving. If you let it warm a bit, then it will be soft and creamy – perfect for dipping!
Substitution / variation ideas:
- If you want to make this dairy-free, then use your favorite dairy-free cream cheese. I love the ones from Kite Hill Foods
- Other nuts would work great in this. I think pistachios would be especially tasty
- You can mix it up with an assortment of different nuts and dried fruits
- I wouldn’t recommend omitting the honey. Even though it’s just 2 tablespoons, it really “makes” this dip with the flavor and texture
- This spread is also be delicious on a toasted bagel…I mean, obviously 😉

Lynn Thomas says
This was my contribution to Thanksgiving dinner. Not only was it good, my niece kept the leftovers for herself. If she didn’t love it, she would have sent it back home with me. I did soak the cranberries in Grand Marnier before draining extra well and adding to the other ingredients. Definitely a keeper of a recipe. Thanks for posting it.
