Christmas Cookie Recipes With Something For Everyone
Everyone has a favorite Christmas cookie: double chocolate, gingerbread, snickerdoodle! The beauty of the holiday season? It is totally acceptable to bake a dozen different cookie recipes. If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know there’s nothing I love more than a sweet treat. This list is full of my favorite Christmas cookie recipes, with a treat for everyone to love. Plus, many of them are easy enough to bake with the kids. They can also be doubled (or even tripled)—perfect for cookie swaps or holiday gifting!
1: Frosted Sugar Cookies
So, you know those packaged frosted sugar cookies sold at grocery stores since the beginning of time?? Of course you do, because they’re always strategically placed right where you enter and they’re always holiday-coordinated, too. Well, this is my copycat version of them, and they are not only just as good, but also happen to be grain-free, gluten-free, and no funky ingredients. Sprinkle them red and green and you’ve got the best Frosted Sugar Cookies!
2: Hot Cocoa Cookies
Now, these Hot Cocoa Cookies are a piping cup of hot chocolate in the form of a cookie! Altogether, they’re rich and chocolatey with an ooey, gooey marshmallow center. Undoubtedly, this cookie is one that everyone will love. And it can be enjoyed long past the winter season… because why put a seasonal limit on pure joy, right?!
3: Cookies & Cream Cookies
We all know how much Santa loves dunking cookies in milk, and these Cookies & Cream Cookies are the perfect recipe for that. Filled with crushed OREO cookies, chocolate chips and white chocolate chips, both kids and adults love them! Plus, they can be made gluten-free and look super cute with some red & green sprinkles mixed in.
4: Gluten-Free Snickerdoodle Cookie Sandwiches
The vibe of Gluten-Free Snickerdoodle Cookie Sandwiches? Warm & cozy. They are gluten- and grain-free with a fluffy cream cheese filling. Plus, I include a recipe for homemade cream cheese frosting here, but if you want to make this recipe even easier then you can use store bought: I love Miss Jones and Simple Mills.
5: Gluten-Free Homemade Oatmeal Creme Pie
These Gluten-Free Homemade Oatmeal Creme Pies are so incredibly decadent and delicious! Chewy oatmeal cookies sandwiched with a fluffy, creamy marshmallow filling. As I have said, I love a good classic recipe, and this one is reminiscent of Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies. However, my cookies are made with simpler ingredients and from scratch.
6: Butterscotch Pretzel White Chocolate Chip Cookies
The best combination ever? Definitely, sweet & salty. Now, these Butterscotch Pretzel White Chocolate Chip Cookies are *loaded* with flavors. Altogether, they taste like the best salted caramel cookie. Plus, the pretzel on top gives a little crunch! If you know what’s good for you, then make a double batch of this recipe (; because everyone will be fighting over these cookies!
7: Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies
So, here at Hungry Blonde Headquarters we are big fans of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. I figured: Why not turn one of the best ice cream flavors into an easy-to-make, delicious, and gluten-free cookie? Thus the recipe for Mint Chocolate Chip cookies was born. The center is pillowy-soft, but the outside still has a nice, light crunch to it and that green color screams holiday.
8: Cranberry Walnut Sugar Cookies
Whether you make a batch for your neighbors or your children, these Cranberry Walnut Sugar Cookies are a sweet treat that is also grain-free, gluten-free, and includes antioxidants and fiber thanks to Craisins® Dried Cranberries. Plus, they look so festive, which might just be my favorite part!
9: Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
What is Christmas without a Chocolate Chip Cookie?! Now, not only are these cookies delicious, but they’re also low sugar, grain-free and gluten-free. Santa loves a good-for-you cookie (; Plus, they are made with less than 10 ingredients and they’re keto-friendly. However, you’d never know by tasting them…
10: Flourless Monster Cookies
So, these Flourless Monster Cookies have been a go-to recipe of mine for almost 10 years. Now, this recipe is great if you’re hosting a gathering because it makes a HUGE batch, so they are perfect to make for a holiday party, cookie exchange, or gift-giving! Use red & green M&M’s to amp up the holiday spirit!
11: Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookie Bars
These Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookie Bars are an incredibly delicious sweet & salty treat, and you’ll never believe how easy they are to make with just 7 ingredients needed, one bowl, and 30 minutes. In this case, use Christmas M&M’s instead of chocolate chips and you’ve got the cutest holiday dessert that kids and adults will love. Plus, they can be made gluten-free.
12: Butter Pecan Cookies
Butter Pecan Cookies are a unique combination of sweet and salty. Truthfully, this is one my *all-time* favorite combinations. They are chewy, buttery and melt in your mouth! Seriously, you’re not going to be able to have just one. Plus, they can be made gluten-free.
