Can I mix up the ingredients in this Cheeseburger Salad?
Of course! The ingredients listed above are some of the classics and my personal favorite cheeseburger components, but feel free to get creative and add any of your own favorites! Some other ideas that would be tasty additions:
- use your favorite meatless or vegetarian patty / crumbles
- any different type of cheese
- pickled onions
- coleslaw
- jalepenos
- hot sauce
- ranch
- some french fries, if you’re feeling sassy
The “special sauce” I’ve been using (on pretty much everything!) is the new Heinz BuffaRanch, which has a nice kick of buffalo sauce flavor to it. I also love the Sir Kensington’s Special Sauce.
Another option is to make your own special sauce, which is quite easy. Here is a recipe for it from Bon Appetit.
