Birthday Cake Protein Rice Krispies Treats are a healthy(ish) take on a classic favorite. Only 10 minutes to prepare minutes and 4 ingredients needed. Plus, they come with a sweet serving of 9g of protein! Keep scrolling for the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup Cake Pop protein powder
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a 9×13 baking dish by lining with parchment paper and/or spray with cooking spray
  2. Melt butter in a large pot or sauce pan over low heat
  3. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted
  4. Turn off heat and quickly stir in protein powder. Make sure to mix out any lumps
  5. Add cereal and stir until combined, then mix in sprinkles
  6. Transfer mixture to baking dish and press down using a greased spatula or parchment paper
  7. Allow to cool and set for at least 2 hours before cutting into 12 squares
