Tis’ the summer season! And that means BBQs, pool parties, and, of course, the 4th of July! Now, what’s a party in the USA without amazing food? With everything from nachos to cookies to salads, this list of the Best 4th of July Recipes has something for everyone.
I *love* the 4th of July. Not only is the anniversary of America’s birthday, but it’s also a prime day for truly amazing summer food. Now, there’s the classics – burgers, potato salad, the infamous flag cake – and those are all fantastic, but I like to mix it up, too. So, this list is a combination of both classic party pleasers (like Buffalo Chicken Dip!) alongside some new, different, and delicious additions (like Spiraled Carrot Salad!). One thing is for sure: All of these recipes scream summer. That, and you’re going to love them (;
1: Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Dip
In truth, this Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Dip is hands down my most crowd-pleasing recipe. It’s so great to make for a party… people go crazy over it! I mean, with all of this cheese and the flavor of buffalo sauce, I think you can tell why. Plus, this recipe is both keto and low carb. Additionally, it has only five ingredients, a quick bake time, and it can be made vegetarian with this recipe.
2: Soft and Chewy Salted S’more’s Cookies
Who doesn’t love roasting marshmallows on a summer night? Well, with these Salted S’mores Cookies you get all the flavors of roasted s’mores in one ooey, gooey, chocolate + marshmallow filled bite. They’re so soft, chewy, packed with all the deliciousness of s’mores. In addition, they can easily be made gluten-free with some simple swaps.
3: Summer Shrimp and Quinoa Salad
So, this easy Summer Shrimp and Quinoa Salad is the best recipe for when you want to whip up something simple yet still bright and tasty! It’s light and refreshing summer salad that is also gluten-free. Another great thing about this quinoa salad? It’s completely customizable. If you want to substitute the shrimp for another protein or swap in different veggies, then you can!
4: Spiraled Carrot Salad
Spiraled veggies have been having their moment in the sun — and with good reason! Not only do they make great pasta alternatives, but they also make great salads! Now, Spiraled Carrot Salad isn’t your average salad… in fact, it’s better. It has avocado, peanut dressing, and protein-packed chickpeas. In general, it makes a great side dish or a healthy vegetarian main option!
5: Chocolate Covered Coconut Bars
This recipe for Chocolate Covered Coconut Bars — AKA healthier Copycat Mounds — is one of those recipes you’ll return to time and time again. Why? Well, because it’s simple, has minimal (clean!) ingredients, and it’s no-bake. Plus, it’s a super easy recipe to double, which makes it the perfect party dessert!
6: Honey BBQ Cauliflower
So, you’re in the market for a healthy side? Well, let me introduce you to Honey BBQ Cauliflower. Now, even picky eaters will love this recipe. Not only is the recipe gluten-free, but it’s also ready in under 30 minutes! The cauliflower is crispy and delicious, especially smothered in BBQ sauce (which is the only way food should be on the 4th, you know?).
7: Pulled Pork Sweet Potato Nachos
Now, this recipe for Pulled Pork Sweet Potato Nachos is hearty, nourishing, and so delicious! It’s made with better-for-you ingredients like sweet potatoes, fresh vegetable toppings, dairy-free queso sauce, and juicy + flavorful (fully cooked!) Kurobuta Pulled Pork. If you don’t want to serve this with pork, then you can substitute for ground beef, chicken or even a plant-based protein. However the pulled pork really gives it that BBQ feel!
As always, if you make these 4th of July Recipes or any of my other recipes, then I would love to know how it turned out for you! Please leave a review, and be sure to tag me on Instagram @Hungry.Blonde. xoxo GG
