If you’ve been following Hungry Blonde for a while…or if you’ve been one of my OG readers from back in the Girl Meets Life days…you know that I generally live a quite healthy lifestyle. Sure, sometimes my Instagram shows me eating doughnuts and pizza and pasta (oh my), but I’ve always made it a point to be transparent that that’s not what I’m eating all the time. I love eating foods that make me look and feel my best as much as possible!
In fact, that’s kind of how I got into blogging myself. In 2009 I discovered blogs and became an avid reader of dozens of healthy living blogs. I was so excited to find other women who loved food and healthy living as much as I did, and I also learned so much about how cooking healthily didn’t have to mean sacrificing flavor and satisfaction.
One of the first blogs that became a go-to of mine for healthy recipes was Skinnytaste. Gina Homolka has always done such a great job of putting a “skinny” twist on classic recipes. To this day when I want to try a new recipe or recommend one to my family/friends, I browse Skinnytaste and always find what I’m looking for.
That’s why I was SO excited when i found out that Gina would be coming to my local Macy’s store for the Macy’s Culinary Council cooking event. She’ll be sharing some of her tips and secrets to preparing some of her favorite “skinny” dishes. The event is FREE and taking place on 4/1 at 1pm at the New York Macy’s location in Herald Square.
I hear there will be a ton of delicious samples (YAY), and a free copy of the Skinnytaste Fast and Slow Cookbook signed by Gina with any $35 purchase in the Macy’s Home Department (double YAY). Those who RSVP and attend the event will also receive a $10 Macy’s gift card. Click here to purchase your tickets as the event is going to sell out fast!
