I Tried It: Cuckoo Kitchen

Ohhh Chinese takeout. That decision that sounds so so good, only to leave you feeling so so bad.

…until now.

Cuckoo Kitchen recently reached out and asked if I’d like to try some of their healthier Chinese dishes. They tout themselves as a “Better Way to Enjoy Chinese, ” so I was excited to see what it was all about.

On Monday morning a big well-insulated box arrived at my door containing 5 (huge) meal kits.

Each container listed the ingredients, nutritional information, and simple directions for preparing and serving.

For example, to make this Kung Pao Chicken all I had to do was heat the sauce for a few minutes in a pan, add the veggies and chicken, and I had was tasted like a homemade Chinese meal in minutes.

I tried a few of the other dishes over the next few days, and they were just as (if not more) simple to prepare. They had all the flavor that I love from Chinese food (without the MSG + yucky feeling after).
